is what our little m is part of ...
yes, this would be the first time i've ever photographed a dog in a "cap and gown." he's done so well. j works with him much more than i do but ... he can sit, stay (for an extended period of time), speak, play dead and play with the clicker-wand-thing.
our trainer steve is amazing.
yep, the first real post ... even though i'm still a bit melancholy about uber's demise. it really had it's own personality ... the community members are/were great ... the people behind uber are/were amazing ...
and it's weird to start over again.
hopefully, my little friend will help with some css. ;) she's happy about some news today. ;)
*gotta go to a swimming lesson with b*
back shortly! :)
okay ... doesn't look like typepad likes photobucket photos. f*ckers.
can i say f*ck here? dunno.
i know i said f*ck when i saw this asshole on t.v. last night ...
amazing that it was the best one i could come up with when i had a 5d next to me. ;)
so ... yeah ... i have some new photos ... gotta get a hang of this shit on typepad. it's different.
fyi ... there's a distinct possibility that something my "rise from the ashes" of uber. i'll keep you guys posted.
suits f*ck everything up.
some suits are nice.
some suits are alright.
but they fuck it all up. ;)
kinda like the suit that's in that video-cap-via-5d-and-processed-in-photoshop.
don't have my external drive with me right now so i couldn't use aperture. :(
so ... again ... thank you all for sending the emails with your information ... you all live in a very nice little contact list. it was cool, actually, putting that list together because, well, you guys fucking rock.
also, i've joined flickr. i even have a pro-account so now, as darren says, "i shoot for money." ;)
i think i'm going to review flickr. ;)
i think it's time for dinner.
hope you're all very well!
And we can help Steve be the best trainer in LA! According to the FOX LA affiliate anyway...

heh heh, smart looking dog. i think little m could do a better job of designing rockwells website, i just took a trip over there for a few ideas on what not to do ;) after ubers demise, i decided to pay for a page to host my shit on, nice to start with a clean slate, if they ever send me the fucking passwords that is!

Dogs wearing clothes freak me out.
Seriously.
I took my twins to the park a couple weeks ago and was greeted by the "Taipei Pug Enthusiasts Club".
http://brianwebbphoto.com/v/taiwan_street_photography/dog_pug_on_leash.html
What really freaked me out were the pugs wearing dresses and hats. Don't get me wrong. I love dogs. We have 2 rescued dogs at home (a retriever/husky mix and a terrier) plus volunteer at a local shelter when we have time.
But dogs wearing "people clothes" freak me out.
Not as much as that asshole in the second photo, though.

Chris,
Just so you know, flickr is a pain when it comes to embedding images, i think you have to bring up each image and click on share and only then do you get the URL to embed the picture.... Oh, and why was M in a cap and gown?
Dubya sure knows how to look good for International TV. Thank god for change!

@christian: positive that m could do a better job than "the wank." and ... i'm totally positive that you can. ;)
seriously, who the fuck reads that shit? ;) well ... i guess i do but only to make fun of his hokey-ass.

@brian: love the pug photo! j loves pugs.
talk to j about dressing up the dog. currently, he's been our butler and ... yeah ... i gotta talk to her about this shit. ;)
mate, i really love what you do with a rangefinder! :)
thanks for the link!

@sam: yeah, i kinda found that shit out. so ... i also found out how to do html with typepad. yeah, you do have to click on each and hit share. fuck that shit.
thank god for the hopeful change, mate. we're all ... hoping.

The photo is nice but eeks, I'm freaked out by clothes-wearing dogs too.
Welcome to your "new home" anyway!
And Bush actually gets to grace your first post, hah.

Ken Rockwell has admitted that he sucks:
"and if I paid more attention to taking pictures, instead of reviewing all this gear, my photos would be much better. Likewise, only idiots have more than one camera, because the best photos come when you are intimately familar with everything about how your one camera does and responds to everything. "
I just thought you find that amusing, that he is naive enough to beleive that real photographers only have the mental brain power to only know 1 camera well. What a sad man he must be.

I try to stay out of the whole "wank" debate, but did he really say that??? I don't know a thing about photography and even I know that if you're a professional, or a talented artist, you can make ANY camera work. And you would think that by reviewing SO many cameras, that would give you plenty of practice to know how to shoot a photo. People actually give him money? Jesus.
Posted by: j | 26 September 2008 at 12:52 PM
@sam: i cannot fucking believe he said that. last week he called photo mechanic "camera mechanic" and i just laughed. a program all of us use "in the real world" and he has no fucking clue.
people give him money. amazing.
